Shadow of the Colossus was already shattering conventions with its bosses-only approach and puzzle-like nature of each. But Phalanx is tip-top among the pile. First, you need to bring it down to surface-level with the bow, then use Agro to speed up to and clamber on to one of its wings. Wander then has to cross the length of its body, stabbing sigils along the way while Phalanx attempts to dislodge him.
