Atheon, Time’s Conflux – Destiny
Raid-like experiences had always been the domain of MMOs like World of Warcraft. But Destiny, for all its faults at launch, managed to capture that in a first person shooter space with Atheon. The final boss in the Vault of Glass required coordination and communication between players in different time periods, before ultimately rejoining and damaging the boss. It was complex but also elegantly simple, something which numerous other looter shooters have failed to replicate with their raid-like activities.
