WHITNEY (POKEMON GOLD/SILVER)
When you run into gym leader Whitney in Pokemon Gold and Silver and discover that she’s actually a snivelling little kid, you don’t expect her to put up much of a fight. The fight that follows is surprisingly tough, most of which is down to just one of her Pokemon. Her Miltank has been the start of the nightmares of many Pokemon fans, with its surprisingly hard hitting attacks and ability to heal itself. And it’s a pink, fat little cow, so when you first lay eyes on it, you don’t expect it to be even a little threatening.
