“Devil May Cry 2 is the worst Devil May Cry game” is the least controversial statement in the history of statements. It was the antithesis of everything a DMC game should be. It was significantly easier than the first game, which made the combat much less satisfying, the weapons were poorly balanced, the boss fights were horribly designed, Lucia’s missions were largely just retreads of Dante’s missions, and Dante himself was portrayed very poorly.
