The survival horror genre has seen an incredible these past few years, and the time is ripe for Silent Hill to come along and capitalize on the success Resident Evil has found- history repeats itself, after all. Konami having next to no interest in making AAA games is still very much a sticking point here, but unlike with Metal Gear, we’ve heard a lot of rumblings of late that a series revival is indeed in the works thanks to a partnership between Konami and Sony. How much truth there is to those rumours remains to be seen, but we – and likely millions of others – are hoping that they’re unequivocally true.
