MAFIA 3
Mafia 3 is probably one of the easiest games to recommend in this entire list in spite of its many issues, and that is down almost entirely to its incredibly storytelling chops, backed up by excellent writing and performances from the actors that portray its stellar cast of characters. The other side of this experience, however – the gameplay side of things – is as forgettable and broken as the story is captivating. Technical issues, generic open world design, boring missions, clunky controls and mechanics- all of this came together to turn Mafia 3 into one of the biggest disappointments of its time, in spite of how good its story was.
