SHIP STEALTH- ASSASSIN’S CREED IV: BLACK FLAG
For a series that started out as (primarily) a stealth game, Assassin’s Creed has had a troubled history with forced stealth sections- but hardly any of them compare to the one we’re speaking of here. The best parts of Black Flag were, of course, its naval sections, but one particular section that forces you into stealth while you piloted a ship is just ridiculous on so many levels. On the most fundamental level, it works for the very reason most forced stealth sections don’t- rudimentary mechanics and annoying insta-fails. Most importantly, though, the game asks you not to be seen- while you’re in a ship. How the hell can a ship not be seen?
