Nex Machina
The original addiction games, score attack titles don’t get a lot better than the offerings of Housemarque. What something like Nex Machina loses in a cohesive story, the game more than makes up for with fast paced action that just sucks you back in for round after round. Nex Machina split the difference with a level progression, but constantly challenged you to take on the twin stick shooter ever faster and better. You came to slay the last robots, but you stayed for that sweet feeling of being on top of the leaderboard.
