And The Ultimate Winner Is…

PS3

I think it’s pretty apparent, not just from the article, that the PS3 easily won 2011. PS3 owners were treated to a slew of exclusives- awesome games kill Killzone 3, LittleBigPlanet 2, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3 and many others all got released this year, and were met with critical acclaim all over the internet. Then there’s the awesome multiplatform lineup, which is a huge, huge improvement over what the PS3 could boast of a few years ago. Not only did the system get all the multiplat releases, but a ton of them were also better than their Xbox 360 counterparts. PSN was also strong this year, and while it did not have much exclusives, it cannot be said that it lacked good games. The system also got a ton of re-releases and remakes.

Overall, the PS3 won comprehensively this year. Sony did everything right, when it comes to system’s library. Signing deals with publishers and developers to make third party games better on their system, releasing one awesome exclusive after another, not focusing too much on the casual/motion sensing market and releases good games on PSN. It’s a great time to be a PS3 owner too, because 2012 is looking awesome for the system.
