Sonic has had a pretty hit-or-miss relationship with its 3D outings, and Sonic Frontiers seems to be a radical shift from the franchise formula. Taking cues from the likes of Breath of the Wild, Sonic Frontiers is adopting an ‘open-zone’ design strategy – where players would be able to explore big levels at their own ease. While this prospect raises more questions than answers, we are pretty excited for the game nonetheless. Sonic Frontiers releases for all major platforms on 8 November 2022.
