Developed by Silicon Knights, Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is a masterclass when it comes to keeping player tension high throughout the experience. The game makes great use of its Sanity Effects, which add all sorts of weird effects ranging from lowering the game volume to shifting camera angles to spraying blood on walls which can catch you off-guard and make you uneasy to the core. It’s definitely a bit dated by modern standards, but it’s a game that’s well worth experiencing for fans of the horror genre.
