Made by a handful of people on a shoestring budget, Hollow Knight is still one of the greatest games ever made, period. It looks and sounds incredible, its moment-to-moment combat, platforming, and exploration mechanics are faultless, and it has what feels like an ocean of content on offer, which, incredibly enough, never dilutes its quality. Calling it one of the best titles of all time wouldn’t be an exaggeration in the slightest.
