2. ELDEN RING
FromSoftware has only gone from strength to strength with nearly every new game over the past decade or so, so it makes sense that with Elden Ring – which in so many ways feels like a culmination of all of the studio’s past works – is regarded as one of its best games to date. It blends the Soulsborne formula with its massive, stellar open world so perfectly, it’s hard to believe that it’s From’s first attempt at making a game like this one. In spite of its unmatched scale, this is a game that never compromises when it comes to quality- which is something that we can only hope others in the industry will try and replicate.
