Resident Evil 7

Can the chips officially be considered down for Capcom? After Resident Evil 6 was severely thrashed by reviewers, the Japanese publisher saw enormous losses across the board in 2013 with several games failing to live up to the sales hype. Rumours are running rampant that Resident Evil 7 will be showcased at E3 but it’s hard to imagine the kind of creative direction Capcom would need to take this time around. Will it continue the action oriented approach, return to the roots of survival horror or try something else entirely? Whatever it does, it certainly has nowhere to go from here but up.
