Gears: Tactics
Gears: Tactics is, at first glance, a turn-based tactical take on the franchise with different units, skills, customisation and whatnot. However, the cover-based combat of the series fits it well, combined with mechanics like executions granting free action points. Throw five different classes with extensive customization, a lengthy campaign, and Veteran Mode for post-launch challenges, and you have a compelling spin-off.
