Nintendo’s upcoming 3D handheld device, successor to the highly successful DS, 3DS has been the hot thing to discuss these days, and one of the main questions surrounding it is how powerful the system will be. We brought a report to you a few months back, along with a video that showed the technical prowess of the chip the 3DS will be using. You can see it here. There have been several other reports on how powerful the system will be.

Generally, the reaction to the prowess of the 3DS has been highly positive, yet the specs for the system are still unknown. Well, looks like they have been leaked by IGN, and the 3DS specs are pretty impressive- it will support two 266MHz ARM11 CPUs, a 133MHz GPU, 4 MBs of VRAM, 64 MB RAM, and 1.5 GB flash storage.

IGN says this came from “persons familiar with the hardware who spoke under the condition of anonymity.” None of this is official yet, Nintendo is yet to comment on it.
