38. Subscriber based MMOs
Since the PS4 requires you to get a Plus subscription to play online, there will be many multiplayer games that will require players to subscribe and then play. However, some games like The Elder Scrolls Online will feature their own subscription, which may either need to be paid in conjunction with the online service for a console or paid in lieu of the same. This will be a subject of debate as many players are quite obsessed with MMOs and will pay through the nose to keep leveling up their character and progressing through the world. As subscriber-based MMOs continue to exist, expect this trend to continue though in a much more reduced fashion than before.
