37. Half Life 3 not being released
Half Life 3 has had gamers search high and low through the net for any signs of an appearance, and although they have been many false alarms that had fans fuming, it’s still gone unannounced. Keep in mind that Half Life 2 launched in 2004, with the latest follow-up being Episode 2 which launched with The Orange Box in late 2007. It’s been roughly six years now since any real news about Half Life 3 has been revealed, aside from the snippets that keep getting leaked from Valve’s headquarters. For Valve’s part, they’ve reiterated the desire to not rush things and deliver the best experience possible to gamers. And given their focus on changing the way we think about gaming with Steam and the upcoming Steam Machines, we can’t blame. Nonetheless, that elusive Half Life 3 confirmation will remain a mystery for a while it seems.
