15. Debate over paid multiplayer
Sony has decided to include online multiplayer play along with PlayStation Plus and though the company has stated that it needs to do this in order to make a profit, there will still be enough debate over whether paid multiplayer should be a thing. Xbox Live Gold has been a paid service for years and Microsoft has faced tons of criticism. Will the addition of more services with the subscriptions help make them worthwhile? And what effect will free to play games have in the coming years, given that their now being targeted for consoles? Expect paid multiplayer as a trend to stay relevant.
