By now, it’s clear that Fanatec is capable of producing high-quality racing wheels for those who don’t mind the price. The Podium Racing Wheel F1 is another clear example, priced at £1799.95 and supporting PC and PS4 (with a compatible rim needed for Xbox). So what makes this racing wheel so special aside from being officially licensed for PS4 and supporting “all important racing games” as per Fanatec? That would be the Direct Drive system which allows for plugging directly into your platform of choice. The result is force feedback unlike most other wheels. Not that the Podium Racing Wheel F1 skimps out on other features – it has Alcantara grips , a metal and carbon fiber build that’s very stable, an OLED display for adjusting settings, magnetic shifters for the paddles, 11 buttons and 12-way multi-position switches, and much more. While priced higher than even most modern GPUs, there’s nothing quite like the Podium Racing Wheel F1.
