NOT DOING ENOUGH OPTIONAL CONTENT
Of course, going the complete opposite direction of what we just spoke about is also far from ideal. Every once in a while – either because you just want to be done with a game, or because you’re too wrapped up in the story, or maybe because you just aren’t interested in the side quests – we end up blowing through open world games while ignoring most of the optional content they have on offer. That’s hardly ever an ideal way to play games like these, where you’re meant to take at least some time to see what the world has to offer outside of main quests. Striking the right balance between the two sides of the experience can make a huge difference.
