Rayman Legends Delayed Till Q1 2013

Ubisoft taking the time to create a game that lives up to the hype.

The Wii U launch window was looking plenty crowded, but it seems that the penultimate holiday season, which will decide whether the console is a quick climber or in it for the long haul, has seen once less participant.

Ubisoft has recently announced that the upcoming sequel to the Rayman franchise, titled Rayman Legends, has been delayed until the first quarter of next year. The company issued a statement to that effect:

“Rayman Legends will launch worldwide in the first quarter of 2013. We’re happy that fans are excited about the game, and we are taking the time to make sure we deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds their expectations. We’ll have more details to share soon.”

So the limbless wonder won’t be seen till then, but at least the developer is taking the time to properly polish the title and deliver on promises. One wonders if they could do it for Assassin’s Creed at some point in time. Maybe break the yearly cycle?
