Ratchet and Clank PS Vita delayed till 2013

Oh, come on.

Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault comes out on the PS3 on November 27/November 30 depending on where you are in the world (North America, Europe respectively) but Sony has announced that the PS Vita version has been delayed.

Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault, or Ratchet and Clank: QForce, as it is known in Europe, will not be released for Sony’s new handheld system till January next year.

As compensation for the delay, Insomniac will be releasing the first DLC of the game- the Miniboss multiplayer skin pack- for free on the PS Store.

Sony has given no specific reason as to why the PS Vita development team of the game- Tin Giant- is taking longer to develop it.

“The team at Tin Giant has been working hard on the PS Vita version to ensure that your experience will be packed with all the action and polish that you’d expect from a Ratchet & Clank game,” Sony said on its blog. “In order to provide the best gameplay experience possible, the PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: QForce will be releasing later than the PS3 version, and will follow in January 2013 on PS Store.”

Stay tuned for more info.
