Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Trailer Showcases Enemies, Death

Guess which one there's little escape from?

A new trailer for the upcoming expansion pack Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen was revealed by Capcom, which takes a closer look at some of the enemies that players will encounter.

First up are the Pyro-Saurians, which are like Saurians from the original game but can breath fire. A quick dousing of water or ice is enough to stun them though, and you can lop off their tails for bonuses here as well. The Eliminator is a Minotaur-like creature with a huge hammer that must be staggered before it’s vulnerable to attack. Otherwise, you’re just inviting a beating.

The last of these enemies, and one that will haunt you throughout the game, is Death. Death can’t be beaten right away and his attacks inflict, er, death. But you can inflict enough damage to run away and escape. This damage carries over throughout the game…which makes you wonder just how much you have to hurt him before he dies.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is currently slated to release on April 23rd in North America and April 26th in Europe.
