SCEE Senior Manager Promises “An Amazing Big Title Coming to Vita”

And no, it's not indie.

Posting recently on Twitter, Shahid Kamal Ahmad, SCEE senior manager, stated that “there is an AMAZING big title coming to Vita. I can’t tell you anything about it, except that you are gonna be hooked for hours.”

Naturally the first suggestion was that it would be a PlayStation Vita version of Minecraft. If only. Ahmad later replied that, “Clarification. Hooked for hours ‘a day’. Clue, not indie. And: talk about one title doesn’t preclude others”.

So the jury is out on just what it could be. As of now, we’ll have to wait and watch. Sony has stated that it will be making some interesting announcements in the coming weeks. Perhaps this is one of them?

If so, the Vita could desperately use it. The handheld has been struggling as of late, as recent financial data has shown, compared to Nintendo’s 3DS. And that’s just in the United States. Hopefully, a turnaround is on the horizon.
