Halo for Xbox One Announced, Releasing in 2014

The Chief returns, again, in a cloak. Hell yes?

Posted By | On 10th, Jun. 2013

It really happened: 343 Industries and Microsoft announced a new Halo for the Xbox One, to arrive in 2014. Of course, they didn’t add a “5” or anything to the end. Just Halo. And that’s alright. A new trailer for the same was revealed, which showed a cloaked figure ascending a sand dune before being attacked by a large creature.

The cloaked figure is revealed as Master Chief, thanks to a dogtag in his hand indicating the same. And that’s it. Bonnie Ross of 343 Industries was on stage to announce that the game would be an FPS and support dedicated servers. It would also use Cloud computing and function at 60 frames per second.

The next generation Halo would be releasing alongside Halo The TV Series and Halo: Spartan Assault on Windows 8 PCs and Windows Phone 8. That’s certainly a lot of Halo and a strong indication that Microsoft is leaving nothing to chance.

For a change.
