Final Fantasy Type-0 was initially released for the PlayStation Portable many moons ago, but Square Enix recently announced that it would be bringing it to the West on iOS and Android in the form of Final Fantasy Agito. How well does the game hold up after all these years? Check out a short gameplay trailer above to find out.

The game will be free to play but feature micro-transactions which allows players to purchase energy to continue playing along with items and abilities. There will be story progression based on votes, with the game progressing in two week portions. The first 10 days will reportedly be a single-player campaign, while the last four days are co-operative.

And if that weren’t enough, the graphics will be improved over the PSP version.

As of now, Final Fantasy Agito doesn’t have a solid release but we can expect it to release this Winter. Stay tuned for more details.
