Star Citizen Gets 82 Minute Long Video Looking Back on Project

Chris Roberts takes us back to where it all began.

Posted By | On 11th, Oct. 2013

Star Citizen is perhaps one of the greatest crowd-funded successes since the inception of crowd-funding. Chris Roberts, who had been relegated to the background on not one but two occasions in history, returned to raise close to 22 million dollars and bring about the next open ended space sim in the vain of Freelancer.

Now, Cloud Imperium Games has released a video following CitizenCon 2013 with Roberts talking about Star Citizen and displaying the Hornet’s trailer for the first time. There’s plenty to see here, as the legendary designer looks back to the very beginning of the game, which began crowd-funding only a year ago, towards its future to see what direction it can go in. Check it out above. It’s a long, long viewing but well worth it.

Star Citizen will be releasing for the PC in the near future. Stay tuned for more details on future updates, including a definitive release date.
