PlayStation 4 Launching in India on January 6th 2014 for Rs. 39,990

Sony Computer Entertainment finally announced the Indian release date and price for the PlayStation 4. The next generation console will be out on January 6th 2014 and retail for Rs. 39,990 with 20 games available. These include exclusives such as Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack along with third party titles such as FIFA 14, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and many more. Sony India also promises a library of over 30 games by year end.

It was also revealed via Q&A session during the event that first party titles would retail for Rs. 3999. Third party titles are slightly more fluid in price, ranging from Rs. 2499 (for games such as LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes) to Rs. 4499. As of now, no software bundles have been announced and you’ll need to purchase an additional controller and the PS4 Camera separately. These both retail for Rs. 4490 each.
