After it was initially rumoured, the Xbox One will be getting a price cut in the UK. Best of all? It will retail for £399.99 from March 14th onwards with a download code for Titanfall included in the box. The bundle will also include a controller, Kinect, a chat headset, the console and a month’s subscription to Xbox Live Gold.

Xbox UK confirmed the same on Twitter. “There’s never been a better time to #JumpAhead – from 28.02 pick up an #XboxOne in the UK for £399.99.”

Harvey Eagle, Marketing Director for Xbox UK also stated that, “At Xbox, we believe there’s never been a better time to join the new console generation. To help our fans do just that, Xbox One will be available at the new UK estimated retail price (ERP) of £399.99 from February 28th. And while supplies last, fans will also get Titanfall – the most anticipated game of the year – included in the box.”

It’s important to note that the bundle won’t be available outside the UK. As Eagle stated to OXM, “My responsibility is only for the UK so I can only talk about our territory. This is about offering the best value to UK gamers, and as a result we’re announcing this new price point of £399. There’s no announcements in other countries planned, so it’s a UK-only adjustment and we feel this is the right thing to do in our market.

“The timing of this is very much around Titanfall. It’s about value rather than price. People buy a console to play the best games, the best games coming this year include Titanfall, and Destiny, and Watch Digs, and if you want to play all three of those you’re going to need an Xbox One. And as we said in the announcement today from the 14th March customers are also going to get a copy of Titanfall included when they get an Xbox One, we think that’s really good value.”

What are your thoughts on the bundle? Let us know in the comments.
