It seems that after a cracking start in Japan, Sony’s PlayStation 4 sales in the land of the rising sun are dropping. According to numbers releases by Media Create, the initial push in PS4 sales is now apparently slowing down.

According to the numbers releases, PlayStation 4 sold 30,201 the week before March 30th. But for the week ending March 30th, the sales have dropped to 23,327. Another worrying factor for PlayStation 4 is that it only has one game in top 20 best selling games of the week. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes which isn’t exactly a full fledged title, albeit a good one, finished at 20th position selling 12,374 copies. If you compare the numbers for the week prior, that is an 87% drop.

You can find more numbers about other consoles and video game software here. What are your thoughts on the slowdown of PS4 sales? If this a temporary thing? Let us know in the comments section below.
