Destiny

Bungie’s online shooter Destiny will be entering the beta stage in July and the developer has already confirmed that PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 users will be able to jump in first. Pre-orders for the game have already opened up on the Sony Entertainment Network store and confirm that you’ll receive access to the beta if you pre-order your copy.

Destiny takes place in a far-flung future where there is only one remaining city providing sanctuary for humans. The player will take on the role of a Guardian who must eventually save the entire universe in a Holy Grail-style adventure. The meat of the game involves travelling to other planets, partaking in quests, garnering epic loot and teaming up with other players for various missions. You’ll also be able to take part in Public Events wherein scores of players fight together to overcome threats.

Destiny will be releasing for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 on September 9th worldwide.
