US President Mentions The Witcher During Recent Visit to Poland

Barack Obama called it "a tribute to the talents and work ethic of the Polish people".

United States president Barack Obama recently visited Poland and presented a stae address alongside Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Interestingly, while calling Poland a “hub of high-tech innovation”, Obama also mentioned CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher.

“In fact, the last time I was here, Donald gave me a gift – the video game developed here in Poland that’s won fans the world over, The Witcher.

“I confess, I’m not very good at video games, but I’ve been told that it is a great example of Poland’s place in the new global economy and it’s a tribute to the talents and the work ethic of the Polish people, as well as the wise stewardship of Polish leaders, like Prime Minister Tusk.”

You can read the full address here – or watch it above – but how awesome would it have been for CD Projekt RED to have the President of the United States praise your work?

The next game in the series – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – is slated to be released in February 2015 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
