One of the big surprises that came out of Microsoft’s E3 conference this year was that Microsoft would be working with Platinum Games to deliver an exclusive action game for the Xbox One helmed by none other than Kamiya himself, the man behind such all time gaming classics such as Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and The Wonderful 101.

Xbox head Phil Spencer recently talked about this new game, called Scalebound, as well as the experience of working with Platinum Games for Microsoft.

“Don’t have the next PR event set, working on the game, we are playing the game but I’m not sure when we’ll show playable or talk story,” he said, talking about the lack of gameplay so far.

“Getting to work with @platinumgames, for me, will be a highlight of XBOX One,” he added.

Scalebound is the third exclusive game for next generation consoles that Platinum is working on- before this, they have partnered with Nintendo twice on last year’s The Wonderful 101, as well as this year’s upcoming Bayonetta 2.
