It seems that developers are finally coming to terms with Xbox One’s eSRAM, albeit a bit slowly. Not long ago we reported that Visceral Games will be pushing the Xbox One version of Battlefield Hardline for 1080p and 60fps, but given that that eSRAM is too small for 1080p will they achieve it?

When GamingBolt asked Ian Milham who is the Creative Director on Battlefield: Hardline at Visceral Games, whether they faced any challenges due to eSRAM, his response was a bit surprising.

“No, absolutely not. All of our development on the Xbox One has been going great and it looks great on that platform,” he said to GamingBolt.

He also revealed that moving from developing horror games set in third person perspective to first person shooters has been a big learning curve.

“The single-player is something that’s very near and dear to our heart and we’re doing a great single-player, but we’re doing the multiplayer too. So that’s been a big learning curve. Part of what we did there is we helped out on Battlefield 3 and 4 a little-bit to get those skills going. We’ve added a bunch of people to the studio that have a lot of experience on multiplayer that some of the people have heard of for sure. Nothing to do, but keep making it, iterating and seeing how it’s going. It’s been a challenge, but a really fun one,” he said.

Battlefield Hardline will launch this October for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3 and PC. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
