Ever since the delay of Battlefield Hardline, news about the upcoming first person shooter has been really slow. This is obvious since Visceral Games are hard at work on improving the game even further. But fortunately, Thaddeus Sasser who is the lead multiplayer designer of the title has revealed a few interesting tidbits about how they are collecting weapons data to deliver a balanced multiplayer.

Revealing the data on AKM, M16, MG36 andG36’s across various parameters such as kills, head shots and hits, Thaddeus stated that, “These seem more balanced than we’d expected – we kind of figured the AKM would beat the M16A3. The M16 has some things in its favor for the beta – it was the default gun on the default class, for starters, which tends to push its use up for sure, and it’s easy to learn. We’ll keep our eye on these two. The AKM might still be a little OP, but it’s in the right ballpark for sure – it doesn’t feel like we need to take any action at the moment.”

It will be interesting to see how they will use this data to improve Hardline. The game comes out next year on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
