It’s finally official: Sony Online Entertainment’s massively multiplayer online zombie sandbox title H1Z1 will be heading to the PlayStation 4. Sony stated several times since the game’s initial reveal that H1Z1 would hit the PS4 but SOE President John Smeadley confirmed it on SOE Live.

A survival challenge will also held for the various attendees – you can check out the Twitch stream here, where an hour of new gameplay was showcased. H1Z1 will also head to the PC this Fall season and will be free to play with support for micro-transactions.

To those who’ve never heard of it, H1Z1 is very much like DayZ in that you have to survive in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by zombies. You’ll be crafting items, finding shelter and doing your darndest to deal with other survivors as well. What are your thoughts on H1Z1 officially heading to the PS4? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
