Sony had a surprisingly packed pre-TGS press conference with several announcements like Bloodborne’s Japanese release date and Resident Evil: Revelations 2’s confirmation. Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima also made an appearance to reveal that P.T.,the playable teaser for the upcoming Silent Hills, had been downloaded 1 million times since its release at Sony’s Gamescom presser.

The teaser took place from the first person perspective and saw players exploring a house that seemingly looped on endlessly. It was chock-full of horrors as well, some which you wouldn’t have said in your first playthrough. Kojima stated that he expected the puzzles to take a week to solve the puzzles within and that their nature would facilitate use of the PS4’s Share button in order to seek solutions from others.

Regardless, that tells you enough about the impact of the teaser. How many people shared clips from the game to suck in their fellow mates? Kojima seems to be grasping the nature of Silent Hill very well. We’ll see now if he, Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus can pull it off.
