Super Smash Bros

It’s customary for fighting games to be balanced and updated over time after their release but according to Super Smash Bros. Wii U director Masahiro Sakurai, there won’t be any more gameplay tweaks to the game in the foreseeable future.

Speaking to Famitsu (translated by EventHubs), the online play will continue to be worked on over time. However, when it comes to balancing the game with further patches, Sakurai stated that, “We don’t have any such plans.”

However, he did make note that, “If there are any glaring issues, we may address them.” So if some one magically finds the super-cheese strategy using Little Mac’s otherwise useless Final Smash, then Nintendo may look into fixing it. Otherwise, the characters will remain as they are at this time.

What are your thoughts on Nintendo’s stance, especially in light of Capcom’s endless spree of Street Fighter IV reissues and balances? Let us know in the comments.
