Assassin’s Creed Unity

After many delays, the Assassin’s Creed film has finally been given a definitive release date by Fox. It will be out on December 21st 2016, apparently a week after a Star Wars spin-off film will be releasing according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on Ubisoft’s open world action adventure franchise of the same name, Assassin’s Creed is produced by and stars Michael Fassbender as Altair. The actor is well known for his roles in films such as X-Men: Days of Future Past and 12 Years a Slave. The film will be directed by Justin Kurzel of Snowtown fame.

The Assassin’s Creed film has been in the making for quite a while suffering from the odd delay and script rewrites. It is part of a series of films that Ubisoft has commissioned based off its hit franchises which will include Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs. What are your thoughts on an Assassin’s Creed film in 2016?
