Bioware’s Mass Effect trilogy still stands as one of the crowning achievements of not just the last generation, but of this medium in general; while final thoughts on the series vary, depending on just how soured you were on the whole thing based on just the ending, there is no denying the sheer monolithic importance of the games.

Which is why Mass Effect 4 is such a big deal, and why we have been waiting so ravenously for new news and information on the game. So far, the only few things we know about the game are that it a) exists, b) is not actually called Mass Effect 4, c) is set after the original trilogy, and d) won’t feature iconic series protagonist Commander Shepard. However, that might be all about to change, as industry insider Shinobi is reporting that the game will be a major focus at E3 this year, with a 2016 release planned.

If that is true… well, my body is ready, Bioware. Let me have it.
