The First Six Songs In Rock Band 4’s Music Selection Have Been Revealed

It's a good selection.

Rock band 4

Today, Harmonix revealed the first six songs that would be a part of the soundtrack for Rock Band 4, the upcoming revival of the classic music rhythm game series, to IGN, and as part of a one hour long livestream that debuted the gameplay of the anticipated title (to date, we haven’t actually seen the game in action).

The song selection, based on the six songs that were revealed, appears to be pretty good, and gives me hope for what the full, final soundtrack may be like. The six songs are:

  • Avenged Sevenfold – “Hail to the King”
  • Fleetwood Mac – “You Make Loving Fun”
  • Jack White – “Lazaretto”
  • The Killers – “Somebody Told Me”
  • Spin Doctors – “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong”
  • The Who – “The Seeker”

We still do not, however, know exactly how many songs the final game will have. What we do know is that Harmonix promises it will be a sizeable amount, and that they plan on building on the initial offering, evolving Rock Band as a music delivery platform. That, plus the fact that you can bring over all your purchased songs from previous Rock Band games should certainly help give you enough of a music collection to start out with.

If, however, there’s something that’s never been a part of your virtual library that you’d like to see included, Harmonix has set up a site for submitting song requests.

Rock Band 4 launches later this year on Xbox One and PS4.
