Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

Now that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out in the … wild, CD Projekt RED hasn’t decided their job is magically done. As is the case with most games these days, there have been a number of problems that have been spotted on the PC as well as the Xbox One and the PS4. One positive is that the developer is clearly willing to work hard and work quickly to fix these issues. One case in point is a patch for the PC just issued that will work to improve the Hairworks performance as well as other issues that gamers have noticed.

The full patch notes were released on the game’s official website, Witcher.com. The company said that patches to fix similar issues to what is being seen on the PC will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One very soon. The company released another patch earlier this week in order to try and take on some stuttering issues spotted during gameplay.

The full patch notes are below:

Improves stability in gameplay and the UI
Improves performance especially in cutscenes and gameplay
Fixes grass and foliage popping that could occur after density parameters were changed
Improves Nvidia Hairworks performance
Boosted texture anisotropy sampling to 16x on Ultra preset
Sharpen Post-process settings extended from Off/On to Off/Low/High
Blood particles will now properly appear after killing enemies on the water
Corrects a bug where player was able to shoot bolts at friendly NPCs
Improves menu handling
Corrects an issue with Stamina regeneration while sprinting
Fixes a cursor lock issue that sometimes occurred when scrolling the map
Generally improves world map focus
Improves input responsiveness when using keyboard

Minor SFX improvements

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hit the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 19.
