Closed beta footage for Lionhead Studios’ Fable Legends has emerged. Leaving aside issues with the source (which is somewhat disputed since apparently those taking part in the beta have their GT splashed across the screen and this video does not), it serves as a showcase for the environments and Fencer class that players will be able to control. Check it out above.
Fable Legends is meant as a free to play title for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs, focusing on co-op play with four Heroes and a single Villain that opposes them. As the footage shows above, the game looks fairly stunning on Unreal Engine 4. Environments are incredibly detailed, including the looming behemoths in the background spouting rhymes. It’s definitely pretty but again, we’ll need to wait until the full game is out to see how it fares.
There’s no fixed release date for Fable Legends but it’s expected out this year. Stay tuned for more information, especially since Microsoft’s E3 2015 press event starts on June 15th.
