Guess what? The PlayStation 4 has received a brand new system update and it is available to download right now. However the update is nothing to get riled up about, as it is just a simple stability update. I wonder when Sony will stop annoying users with the constant stream of these so called stability updates. They have released a few of them already in the past. Honestly, they really need to learn a thing or two from Microsoft in terms of releasing meaningful updates instead of making users download a stability patch now and then.
The change log of the update simply states the following: “System software stability during use of some features has been improved.” Yes, talk about being vague. System update 2.55 is a mandatory update that is required to connect to the PlayStation network. We are hopeful that in the coming months Sony will give some major updates to the PlayStation 4 and slow down these annoying stability patches to once or twice a year.
