Just don't expect any triple-A titles in the near future.

Last week, the demise of the PlayStation Vita was somewhat made real when Sony Computer Entertainment senior VP Masayasu Ito revealed the company didn’t have any first party titles in the works for the handheld.

Ito talked about how SCE was focusing on the PlayStation 4 instead and that third party studios continued to support the Vita. However, Sony Europe boss Jim Ryan recently spoke to VG247 in an attempt to clear the air on what’s going on with the Vita.

“To clarify what was said about Vita, which was either misinterpreted or misreported: I think what was said was that we’re no longer in the business of triple-A development of games for Vita. But there is still first-party Vita content being worked upon.”

So don’t toss out your handheld just yet. While we may not see anything in the vein of Uncharted or Killzone on the Vita in the near future, Sony will continue to supply first party titles for the faithful.
