Uncharted 4

As we crawl ever closer to the launch of Uncharted 4 (still several months away) Naughty Dog and Sony are starting to ramp up the marketing campaign for the game. Earlier this month, a new trailer debuted, introducing us to a brand new character that hasn’t been seen in any of the other games in the franchise. That apparently won’t be the only new trailer to debut in December.

Sony just announced, through their official Playstation Twitter account that another brand new trailer will be debuting in movie theaters this weekend. The new trailer is going to be getting a ton of eyes, as it’s slated debut in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Considering the incredible excitement surrounding the movie, it stands to reason there will be a ton of sold out crowds turned into captive audiences for the trailer.

Along with the announcement of the new trailer, Sony debuted a new high quality image, which apparently depicts a scene in the game. In the shot, Uncharted’s main hero, Nathan Drake, is shown diving towards some ancient golden coin. The coin probably refers to Captain Henry Avery’s long-lost treasure. It seems somewhat appropos that the Uncharted 4 trailer will debut in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The movie is actually the rebirth of the much loved franchise, while Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is said to be the final adventure of Nathan Drake and the last game in the series.
