Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata offered some new details about the game to Examiner recently, explaining that the game would feature two kinds of magic while also touching upon the roles that its various women played.

As to the magic, Tabata said that, “The first is a very generic magic system that is used by people around the world. The second one is a very specific discipline of magic, which is only allowed to be used by people within the Royal family itself.”

It’s an interesting contrast when you think about it, especially considering Noctis’s role as part of the royal family. As for the women in Final Fantasy 15, Tabata said, “There are quite a lot of female characters the guys will meet along the road they take and they really enhance the story, and perform a lot of different roles in the story. not just as love interests but other ways as the story progresses.”

Cid, the game’s mechanic, was stated as an example, playing a “very important part of the story because by keeping the car running she makes the entire journey possible.”
