A few weeks back, rumors started to swirl, thanks in large part to one well known voice actor, that Winnie the Pooh is going to be making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3. The actor, Jim Cummings spilled the beans back in the early part of this month and now the actor just held a recent forum where he doubled down on those claims. All of this, of course is without the confirmation of Square Enix so it’s possible Cummings has somehow got this wrong, but it seems unlikely he would continue to claim Pooh and Tigger are going to be in the game if there aren’t plans to include the characters.

As Gamerampage points out, the fact that Cummings is willing to talk about his role in the title might also be good news for other reasons. Game makers rarely hire voice actors early on in development process. It seems likely that if Cummings is recording lines for the game, the development process is in the middle or towards the end. We can still only guess at just how close the game is to getting done.

Most people believe Square Enix is going to have the game ready by the end of this year but the company hasn’t confirmed that’s still the timetable. For now, you’ll just have to watch the below here, where Cummings talks about Pooh and Tigger being in Kingdom Hearts 3 and hope you’ll be able to see the characters in action fairly quickly.
