Destiny The Taken King

Bungie has announced that matchmaking changes in Destiny‘s Iron Banner, a week-long PvP event, are live as of last night. Have you noticed any differences?

Posting on Reddit, community manager Cozmo stated that, “Matchmaking changes are now live in Iron Banner…Basically we have made some adjustments to matchmaking that should assign more emphasis to connection quality.”

Bungie drew much ire for its change to a more skill-based matchmaking system in the Crucible, that too without informing players of changes that had taken place (and outright lying when questioned about the same). As of now, some are sceptical about benefits provided by the new matchmaking system. Users in the comments have noted much of the same occurrences along with matches against players of the same or higher skill levels as before.

What are your thoughts on the changes to matchmaking in the Iron Banner? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
